A friendship, remembered.
A.L.A.S.K.A. is a heartfelt tribute to a great musician, created by his best friend. Born from more than ten years of friendship, endless conversations, and memories I’ll carry for the rest of my life, this project honors Michael Terrell—a father, a son, a best friend, a partner, and an artist whose passion left a lasting mark on me.
Michael made music every single day. It brought him joy, gave him an outlet, and helped him work through what life placed on his shoulders. Music was his therapy, his purpose, and one of the deepest loves of his life.
Whether people wanted to listen or not, whether they acknowledged his talent or overlooked it, he kept creating. His hunger never faded. His consistency, determination, and love for his craft inspired me to keep reaching for something of my own.
There may only ever be one project like this, but every part of it comes from the friendship we shared and my desire to keep his memory alive. Through this music, I want the world to understand a little more of who he was: the musician, the friend, and the man behind the name.
This is my tribute to Michael Terrell, known to the world as Alaska. To his life, his talent, and the passion he shared so freely.
